In the Spring of 1987, there was an air guitar contest
at my High School. I convinced my friends, Jeff and Barb, to be a part
of my band and off we went to perform, what I thought was the best performance
of the whole contest,
Gowan's 'Strange Animal'!
Jeff and me. Sadly Jeff passed away in early 2003 from cancer.
It's very sad indeed.
You cannot see the red bangs very well, however the
black can of hairspray was awesome
in recreating Gowan's cool do! I'm also wearing the red 'G' earring!
These colour photos were taken at a friends house before the contest. I was ready to go!
Ha ha ha... All I can say is that I HAD A LOT OF FUN and spent two weeks practicing for this moment!
This was the second time that I dressed up as Gowan.
This costume STILL hangs on my wall!
I've always thought it was cool AND there's a lot of great memories
from it.
You've got to keep what puts a smile on your face!
